Lighting System. |

has developed its own lighting system. A normal incandescent
light bulb loses 90% of the power you put into it, in
the form of heat. (Just touch a light bulb and see how
hot it is). The new energy saving fluorescent lamps, still
need heated cathodes to work and also two-third energy

a good solar power system you need: |

- A solar panel to produce electricity.
- Correct installation of the panel to obtain full
output.
- A Solar power controller to protect and care for
the rest of the circuits.
- Power output either a 240-volt inverter or direct
DC out.
- A 240-volt inverter loses 30% power in the
conversion process. (Use 12V DC wherever possible
to save this loss)
- Change to 12-volt systems if possible, to save
costs.
- Solar power storage. Non liquid, Deep cycle, solar
batteries.
- Use a company that knows about solar power and
knows how to install it.

| The Solar
Panels |

| This
is the major part that catches the sunshine and converts
it into electricity. This is a simple process. DC; Electricity,
is only a stream of electrons, moving along a wire or
conductor. To make electrons move in one direction. The
Solar panel is coated with silicon. Silicon allows electrons
to travel through it, in only one direction and will not
allow electrons to go back the other way. When electrons
are under the sun they absorb energy , becoming excited,
and begin to move in all directions. Because they are
in the silicon , they get stopped in one direction, but
manage to move freely in the other direction. Once they
are moving, all in the same direction, we have the electricity. |
