Step 2: Decide a Name for Your Site

Now once your site's stretegy is chalked out then decide a name for your site. Usual coventions about gTLD's are as follows:

dotCom: For General or Commercial Site (sometime .co.uk as in UK)

dotOrg: For Non-Profit Organization, NGO, etc.

dotNet: For site related with networking services.

Other gTLD's may be:

dotGov: Restricted only to Government Sites.

dotMil: Restricted only to Military.

dotEdu: For educational institute (in UK it is .ac.uk)
